Ans:A railway station is the halting place for ht trains. Passengers get into the train and get down from the train here. It has a platform for the passengers. A railway station has a station master’s room, a booking office, a ticket counter and a waiting room for the passengers. There are book stalls, stationary shops, and restaurants in it. A railway station is always a crowded place. Passengers, Hawkers, beggars and porkers move in a railway station. Sometime, people are found in a long line to buy tickets. Trains come and go. Porters move with heavy loads on their heads. The flagman move with red and green flags. Thus a railway station is a place of great noise.

A railway station is a very important place for railway communication. It is a place train’s stop at and start from. The passengers of a train get into or get down from a train at a railway station. There is usually a ticket counter, a booking office for goods, the station master’s room, some tea stalls, book stalls etc. in a railway station. They stationmaster’s is all in all in a station. Here, many hawkers are found shouting the names of their goods and selling them. Railway porters are found looking for the passengers so that they can carry their goods. Near the station, there are two signal posts the- red signal and green signal. Just outside the station, there are the stands fo0r rickshaws, auto-rickshaws and other vehicles. Before the arrival of a train, the passengers collect their tickets standing in a queue. The ticket counter is generally opened half an hour before the train. When a train arrives, the station becomes busy and noise. Some passengers get into the train and some passengers get down it. When train leaves, the station becomes calm and quite – sometimes it looks like a deserted place.

A railway station is an establishment on the side of a track. Here the trains stop to take and leave passengers and goods. It may be comparatively crowded of lonely in accordance with its location and importance. It is a self-complex with raised platforms to accommodate trains and buildings to house the station master’s office together with passenger’s waiting rooms and other offices. It also accommodates god owns, ticket counters as well as the fixtures, fitting and installations that facilitate arrival, stoppage and departure of train’s running up and down. In big stations corrugated tin sheds are put up overhead as a protection from sun and shower. The usual scene at a railway station is one of din and bustle. I rise to the peak when a passenger’s train arrives. A railway station is an indispensable establishment in the railway system.
