ANS:

The word 'library' came from Latin word 'libra', which means a book. So, library is a collections of books, papers, magazines, etc. It is the storehouse of knowledge. Our school library has about 50 thousand books on different subjects. There are 3 big tables and a large number of chairs. The books are arranged subject wise  in the shelves. There is a uncatalogued box to find the list of books and their accession numbers. There is an attendant who helps the students and teachers to find out the books. The conditions of our school library is not very good. The reading room is is very small and it is not well-ventilated. Most of them books are old and damaged. The reading room should be expanded. There should be more windows and and ventilators for circulation of air. Ne books should be collected there and read books of their interest.

A library is a room or a building of a part of an institution where books, newspapers, magazines and journals are kept for people to read, use or borrow. The importance of a school library is immense. The school library is meant for students and teachers who can use the library to enrich their knowledge. Our schools also has a good library which students can borrow books. It is located in the around floor of the school building. Books are arranged neatly but alphabetically in the shelves. Two persons are there in our library to help the students. The librarian is a helpful man. He not only find s books from the shelves but also gives us useful advice and information about books. This he can do because he knows his books. The assistant librarian is a lover of books and takes interest in both books and students. He helps up find confined books to read in the library. He issues books to the students against their library cards. We can borrow a book for a week. I do feel proud of our school library which is well managed by the librarian and his assistance.

Our school library is a part and parcel of our school life. It is situated in a spacious room on the first floor of our school building. It has about 5000 books of various kinds. Almost all the works of famous writes of Bengali literature are in our library. The books are arranged according to subjects, languages and authors. Each student is issued a library card and books are distributed class-wise on different dates. There is a reading from attached to the library. In it the students read books when they have no class to attend. The library is conducted by a trained librarian. He keeps the records and issues us books.
