ANS: Tree Plantation means planting trees more and more. Trees are very important for life. We cannot think of our existence without trees. In our daily life, trees are used in many ways. In order to live we need oxygen. Trees give us oxygen. They give us food and fruits. We get vitamins from fruits. They also give us shelter. We get timber from trees and without timber we cannot make our house, furnitures, boats, launches, ships etc. If tree are planted on the bank of rivers and sea-shores, soil erosion can be prevented. The also help to maintain ecological balance. Without trees, land becomes a desert. Many kinds of medicines are prepared from leaves, roots and barks of tree. But our trees and forests are not sufficient in proportion to our total land area. Moreover, some people have been cutting down trees to fulfil their own interest. The destruction disturbs our environment balance. It leads to soil erosion. To protect our environment we should plant more and more trees. Government should take necessary steps to make the people interested in planting trees. It is a matter of hope that the government of our country makes a campaign of tree plantation every year.

অনুবাদ: বৃক্ষরোপন বলতে বুঝায় বেশি বেশি গাছ লাগানো। জীবনের জন্য গাছ খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। গাছ ছাড়া আমাদের ‍অস্তিত্বের কথা ভাবতে পারি না। আমাদের দৈনন্দিনে জীবনে গাছ নানাভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। বাঁচার জন্য আমাদের অক্সিজেন প্রয়োজন । গাছ আমাদেরকে অক্সিজেন সরবরাহ করে থাকে। তারা আমাদেরকে খাদ্য ও ফল দেয়। ফল থেকে আমরা খাদ্যপ্রাণ পাই। তারা আমাদেরকে আশ্রও দেয় । গাছ থেকে আমরা কাঠ পাই এব্ং কাঠ ছাড়া আমাদের ঘর-বাড়ি, আসবাবপত্র, নৌকা, লঞ্চ, জাহাজ ইত্যাদি তৈরী করতে পারি না। যদি নদী ও সমুদ্রের তীরে গাছ রোপন করা হয় তবে ভুমিক্ষয় রোধ করা যেতে পারে। তারা পরিবেশের ভারসাম্য রক্ষার্থে সহায়তা করে। গাছ ছাড়া দেশ মরভূমিতে পরিণত হবে। গাছের পাতা, মূল, এবং ছাল থেকে অনেক প্রকার ওষুধ তৈরী হয় । কিন্তু আমাদের দেশের মোট আয়তনের তুলনায় গাছপালা এবং বনভূমি পর্যাপ্ত নয়। অধিকন্তু, কতক লোক নিজেদের স্বার্থ সিদ্ধির জন্য গাছপালপা কেটে ফেলছে। এই ধ্বংস আমাদের পরিবেশের ভাসসাম্য বিনষ্ট করে। এটি ভূমির ক্ষয় সাধন করে । পরিবেশ সংরক্ষণের জন্য আমাদের বেশী বেশী গাছ লাগানো উচিত । লোকজনকে বৃক্ষরোপণে উৎসাহিত করার জ্ন্য সরকারের প্রয়োজনীয় পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করা উচিত। আশার কথা যে, সরকার প্রতিবছর বৃক্ষরোপন অভিযান চালিয়ে থাকেন।

Tree Plantation

The trees give us food, oxygen, and fuel. If there were no trees, there would be no oxygen and life would have ceased to exist. The loss of trees means the loss of life. It leads to less rains and fall of harvest. As a result, people die of starvation. Besides, heat, pollution, famine, disease are the results of deforestation. So to save mankind forests should be preserved. birds and beasts will have no place to live in. Thus wildlife will be extinct and the balance of nature will be disturbed. To prevent it deforestation should be discouraged. Awareness about the importance of trees has to be developed to keep the earth greener, cleaner and safer for the future.
